Christmas in our Hearts

A Baby.
A Son.
A Gift of Love.
A Star.
A Promise given and Fulfilled.
A life lived in wonder.
Miracles and Healing.
Life-Changing.
Soothing.
A Cross and the Pain.
And submission.
Death the awful reality;
a consequence of years of disobedience
of humanity.
Not the end!!!
A Christmas story the start; winding its way to the victory: Easter's empty grave!!
A Savior--Bless God!
Jesus: Our Gift of Love
Christmas: His Birthday, and our Salvation Plan
Christmas in our hearts--God's Redemption--
Merry Christmas!!!

October Here

October here and fall in full swing. A storm blew through and
Our neighbors lost two trees--
Heavy with leaves barely changing colors
Limbs were brittle and snapped right ofF--
One by one, three hours non-stop

A busy crew were we: neighbors, friends
Keeping company as the rain drizzled
And clothes plastered, and hearts
Were heartened; reassured by the
Camaraderie of these people
That truly care about each other!

Current Book: The Shack, by William P. Young

I am currently reading the book The Shack, by William P. Young. A friend had loaned it to me some months ago, and I put it away in the midst of a school session, and all the busyness that goes along with that, a part-time job, and running a household and tending my family.

The book starts at the point of a tragedy, and moves into a Great Intervention, when he (the main character, Mack) actually gets to physically confront God, in his different personages, and ask the ever-looming WHY? questions!

I am in the middle of this, but have found great depth in this book, beautiful passages, and glimmers of love and healing and restoration lurking behind the scenes, that seem to apply to my own life!

We are all broken vessels, waiting for the Master's Plan and His Healing Hand to shine His Light, reveal the truth that our souls long for, and lead us by His Great Love "smack into the center of His love"... Praise God!!

Peace to you and yours!!!

Another Day--Blissful Summer!

Blissful Summer has arrived at last! And Man--I could hardly wait! Days are now filled with the busyness of completing softball season, bowling camp, and adjusting to being with each other 24/7. LOL! No complaints though!!!

About 3 weeks ago, we took a trip to Yosemite National Park. It was a perfect day! And the air: it was alive, breathing and flowing! The snows were still melting, so we had a glorious view of Bridal Veil Falls--gorgeous!! Here is a picture of another waterfall that I took just before exiting the park.

April Fools Day Gone By

April Fool's Day has come and gone--
Did you pull a prank??

My kids surprised me with all kinds of little diddies:
-jumping out from around the corner as I was walking by yelling, "April Fools!"
-telling me they didn't like cheese anymore: "April Fools!"
and the winner:
-telling me one of our pets had an accident in the house! ugh! Thank God it WAS an April Fools joke!

I wasn't very clever. I had to read online to find SOMEthing, and came across the idea to short-sheet all the beds--the joke was on me! I guess I need to read up on how to do THAT properly! lol!!

Happy Rest 'o the Week!!!

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, and I'm feeling blessed! Corned beef cooking, and family to share it with--God is good!!!

I found this quote over at allrecipes.com: "May you always have walls for the wind, a roof for the rain, and drinks beside the fire."

Springtime!

Ah! The beauty of Spring!
Sun shining through the clouds
Rain wetting the ground
Green blades popping up
from their hiding places,
Sprouting!

Life is a gift--
Each day is an opportunity

To enjoy and to
Spring into!

Thankful Heart

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and I sit here doing homework and dreaming about another summer break. :0) I am so grateful for the wonderful people in my life, and for my Savior's love! His Grace knows no limits, and just IS--no matter what the circumstances are...

I pray peace for you!

Caught A Rainbow

Yesterday it rained, and I was excited to catch the rainbow! God's promise of His love and commitment to us! Woo-hoo!!!
